A Willis Ballet Guild Member
Peggy Willis-Aarnio, Artistic Director and Choreographer

"Dedicated to the Preservation of the Tradition of Classical Ballet, in Education, Teaching and Performance."
Volunteers play a key role at The Willis Ballet. All volunteers will become members of The Willis Ballet Guild. The Willis Ballet Guild is vital to the execution of all of our goals. Anyone who has worked with a non-profit arts, education or religious organizations understand that in the non-profit environment, the resources are never as plentiful as the needs, and therefore, we must rely on the kindness and generosity of volunteers. If you decide to become a Willis Ballet Guild Member, your contributions will be appreciated and absolutely essential to the successful achievement of our educational and performance goals, and you will listed in all of our local programs as a Willis Ballet Guild Member We will try and make being a member of the Guild an enjoyable and rewarding experience with an occasionally purely social activity or event.
The Guild will be responsible to help our company in many ways, as needed and may include assistance in production related activities such as helping to organize and maintain our stock of costumes, helping to maintain, refurbish or construct scenery items, provide transportation assistance, and also provide assistance with administrative activities involving advertising, public relations, fund raising and the management activities associated with putting on performances either in our own in house theatre (The Medvetskaya Theatre) or the local venues. we will also need running crews for locally produced programs, including stage managing, stage hands, ushers, box office personnel. These are only general categories where we have traditionally sought and receive assistance, however you may have unique skills or special insights into ways that may be of great benefit and we would surely like to hear your ideas.
The Willis Ballet Guild is a diverse and talented group of individuals who support The Willis Ballet and the Conservatory of Classical Ballet by donating their time and talents in various ways. If you are interested in helping us as a volunteer and guild member, then please contact Paul Aarnio, President of The Willis Ballet or Dr. Willis-Aarnio.
