Shawn Sweet Geradine is the daughter of Professor Peggy Willis-Aarnio's former dance teacher, Virginia Sweet and the late Dr. John Sweet. We are so thrilled that she has accepted the position as our new Pre-Ballet Director, bringing a lifetime of knowledge and experience on the subject!

Shawn Sweet and the late Marvin Elmore being coached by world famous George Zoritch who, in 2002 won the Corps de Ballet International Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Zoritch frequently visited the Virginia Sweet School of Dance. Mrs. Sweet always brought in top guest artists and exposed all of her students to the very best in dance education and performance. Many of her students went on to professional dance careers! Marvin Elmore was Professor Peggy Willis-Aarnio's ballroom dance partner and boyfriend for many years and won many awards together. Mrs. Shawn Geradine danced many pas de deux with Marvin. Marvin died of ALS several years ago. His talent and exposure to professional dance through Virginia Sweet led him to Broadway where he danced for many years, as Dr. John Sweet had done for many years in his youth.
The Virginia Sweet School of Dance was the foremost school in our area for over 40 years. Professor Peggy Willis-Aarnio is very happy to share Virginia Sweet's professional traditions at the Willis Conservatory of Classical Ballet and now her daughter will continue her traditions at our school too! Enrollment is limited to each of her classes, so enroll early.
